Overview
Our client based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Counterbalance Forklift Driver to work alongside the Transport Manager in the efficient operation of the despatch, goods-in, and warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and accurately load company vehicles for daily deliveries.
- Assist with the overall running of despatch, warehouse, and goods receipt activities.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Use warehouse management systems and other computer applications for stock control and route planning.
- Support the Transport Manager and provide cover during periods of absence where required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the depot.
- Reliable, punctual, and physically fit, as the role involves some heavy manual handling.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Typical hours: 06:00 – 15:00
- Flexibility required to meet business needs, including covering additional responsibilities during the Transport Manager’s absence.
Benefits:
