Warehouse Operative

Location: Basingstoke, RG21 6YB
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Increasing to £13.00 per hour after probation period
Working Hours: Monday to Friday,  11:00–20:00 Subject to change
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our clients warehouse team in Basingstoke.
The successful candidate will be responsible for picking and packing orders, preparing shipments, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised, and safe.
This role involves manual handling and lifting, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable handling bottles of wine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing products accurately and efficiently.
  • Preparing customer orders and shipments for dispatch.
  • Checking stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Using computer systems and Excel to support warehouse operations.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling orders.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Good computer skills, including experience using Excel and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to undertake  lifting and manual handling.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high working standards.
